0 Question: do blood related siblings share some of the same chromosomes? Keywords: chromosome, family Asked by 356genp37 to Remsha, Oliver, Lisa, Fiana on 16 Nov 2018.
Fiana answered on 16 Nov 2018:
They do! Each child will get one chromosome copy from their mother and one from their father. So the chances of getting the same copy of the chromosome that a related sibling did is 1 in 2 for each copy of each chromosome.
Remsha Afzal answered on 16 Nov 2018:
Of course! Its why siblings look similar most of the time 🙂 They are sharing the same genes! 😀
