Very thoughtful question! I’m not an environmental scientist but I do know global warming should be a cause for concern for all of us and we should try our best to be responsible citizens of the earth, and limit our carbon footprint. So far we know glaciers have been sinking, polar ice caps are melting, and there have been unpredictable rainfall and drought patterns. This is the report from NASA showing details of future effects of global warming: https://climate.nasa.gov/effects/

Climate change is probably a more accurate term as not everywhere will get warmer. We have 7.6 billion – that is 7,600,000,000 people on the earth at the moment, and we need to try live in a more sustainable way so we dont irreversibly damage the planet!
