• Question: Is it possible to be a self-taught scientist?

      That’s a good question! I suppose you could say that we are all scientists if we ask questions about the world around us and then try to find out the answers. However to work as a scientist you typically will need a degree from a University 🙂

      You can definitely teach yourself science but to get a job, they will look for a degree to show you have undergone the required training.

      Hmmm I’d say if you really have a passion for learning things you are a scientist at heart! But yeah practically, you would need a degree to be allowed to work on experiments in a lab and all.
