      It’s tough to pick just one! When we study families often there are families with a variety of neurodevelopmental disorders in the family, such as autism, ADHD, learning difficulties. I am amazed all the time at just how many genes can be involved in changes the brain developmental and causing these disorders. I am most amazed though at the overlap of genes working towards these disorders!

      I work on a very special immune cell called the macrophage which can change its function depending on how you treat it. If you treat it with bacteria it becomes angry and starts releasing chemicals meant to kill! These are the soldiers of our body!
