So I can help find solutions to issues that trouble us. Someone has to find the answer, right???

I’m a scientist because I want to find out more about how the world around us works. We are only on the planet for a short time so why not help work out some of the big mysteries in biology while we’re here!

Because I am a naturally curious person I suppose! When I was a kid, my mom got me this very colorful big book about a lot of science-related things, such as space, the human body, species of animals and plants, etc. and it was seriously one of my favorite books ever that I read from cover to cover. I liked learning about how things worked, especially living beings like humans and animals. That was what led me to pick genetics in college because I wanted to understand how WE are made and what’s going on inside us.

Simply because I love science and I love to learn! When you choose a career in science, every day is different!
