• Question: Why is DNA twisted?

      Hi Clodagh that’s a great question! DNA forms a double helix which is that twisted looking shape. It does this because of the different chemical bonds in the DNA that bring some molecules closer together than others! That’s what gives the pinching in shape to form the twist 🙂
